It was not until the 20th century that the second hand moved to the center of the dial, coaxial with the hour and minute hands. Even so, it was not until 1948 that Zenith's Cal. 133 disrupted the arrangement of gears and established the second hand as the core of the movement. The previous "indirect" central seconds hand will tremble when moving because they are not in the power flow.
