A little over a week ago, a dog somehow managed to get stuck in an 18-inch irrigation pipe in Spring City. The pooch was in the water for over 3 hours before being rescued by the Spring City Fire Department.

Somehow, the dog was sucked into the irrigation pipe and was lodged 12 feet down the pipe next to a valve.

This required the Fire Department to dig a new trench around the pond and get it drained to the point they could get the dog out.

Luckily, veterinarian Summer Peterson who is a member of the volunteer department was on scene and able to help with stabilizing the dog.

The dog spent the night at the vet but was released the next morning to its owner Jeff Edmunds.
