US-based material processing equipment manufacturer Superior Industries, Inc. has launched a new potable crushing and screen unit that it says offers extended wear parts life.
Due be showcased at ConExpo 2023, the Portable Sentry HSI Closed Circuit Plant is suitable for processing recycled concrete, reclaimed asphalt, and pit run materials, and can produce four saleable products.
The plant, which can be powered by a power line connection and can also be outfitted with a diesel drive genset unit, offers a “transport weight, dimensions and axle configurations” that allow it to be transported on public roads.
Matt Voigt, Superior Industries’ product manager for portable plants, said: “We’re a vertically integrated, single source designer and manufacturer of wheeled plants including all of the processing equipment, conveyors and components.
“This plant is 100% Superior, which allows us to fine tune and customize all the equipment and components for greater performance, improved portability, and easier maintenance.”
The Portable Sentry HSI Closed Circuit Plant unit comprises a 4250 Sentry Horizontal Shaft Impactor (HSI), which is available in a range different sized models that can process up to 400 t of material an hour.
It also includes the manufacturer’s Intrepid Vibrating Grizzly Feeder. The feeder features interchangeable grizzly cassettes (bars, fingers or punch plates) that enables its to be used for a variety of materials.
Added to this, the Portable Sentry HSI plant also incorporates Superior’s 2-deck Anthem Inclined Screen, which can screen up to three material sizes, with returning material fed back to the HSI via a “patent pending recirculating conveyor”.
The recirculating conveyor “centralizes the feed for full utilisation and extended wear life of the crushers blow bars,” said the manufacturer.
“Onboard, the cross conveyors are universally designed to be interchangeable, which means owners invest in fewer conveyors since they can be mixed and matched throughout the plant.”
